We lost it some time ago. Now we motor around in expensive fume belching machines to carry on with the mass manufactured world that we have created. Now that glocal warming has become so apparent, we find that we have painted outselves into a corner with little hope of reversal. China, now growing at exponential rates will surpass us in indstrual waste and gas emissions. It seems that only a catastrophe could avert the oncoming doom that awaits the earth. How many years do we have? We don't know exactly; however, it will be less than a hundred years and more like fifty. We have evolved in a manner that shows us that instant gratification and lack of long range planning will send us to a certain doom. Will the next generation pay any attention to it? It is doubtful.
